Kapolei High School student activities for August-September 2013

Kapolei High School has opened its doors for the school year 2013-2014. It has planned the following student activities for August and September:

Aug.   9 – Welcome Back Assembly.

Aug. 15 – Club Recruitment Day. Various campus clubs present their programs during lunch.

Aug. 21 – Class assemblies.

Aug. 29 – Blood Drive.

Sept.  3-6  –  Homecoming Week with different events throughout the week. The public may attend the parade on Thursday, September 5, at 1:00 P.M.  It begins at the school, proceeds to the elementary  and middle schools, and returns to the back of the high school.

Sept.  6 – Football game Kapolei vs. Aiea  with the Junior Varsity starting at 5 P.M. Varsity game follows. At half-time the homecoming  court will be presented  and the marching band will perform.

About the Author


Pat Pang (Nozaki) is a retired DOE secondary school teacher who taught school in Waianae for almost 40 years. She has served the community as a member of the Waianae Neighborhood Board and as a delegate to the 1978 Hawaii State Constitutional Convention. She was raised on the Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead and resided in Waianae during her years as a teacher.
