Kapolei Neighborhood Board Invites Public to View and Discuss Recent Resolutions


The Makakilo/Kapolei/Honokai Hale Neighborhood Board will offer the public a chance to discuss and react to recent resolutions  related to Kapolei’s growth at its next meeting on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.  The meeting will be held at Kapolei High School Cafeteria, 91-5007 Kapolei Parkway, 7:00 P.M.-9:45 P.M.

The board has supported the following resolutions:

  • Makakilo Drive Extension
  • Embassy Suites Hotel
  • Preservation of Banyan Trees along Roosevelt
  • Hoopili Alternatives
  • Kapolei Soccer Park
  • Avalon Development Tower – dead cell zone along Makalilo-H1 onramp
  • Banners for Community Notification
  • Honolulu Ethics Commission – revoke anti-media policy
  • Housing Construction – DPP Cease Future Construction Permits Moratorium
  • Pueo Habitat  and Preservation
  • Hoopili Water Runoff
  • Consolidated Theaters Liquor License
  • Regal Theaters Liquor License
  • Kau’pea Wall
  • Preservation of Ewa Airfield Historic Monument and National Battlefield
  • Pu’uo Kapolei Signs
  • Camp Palehua
  • Hawaii Railway Society Preservation

The board has passed these resolutions of opposition and non-support:

  • Ewa Development Plan
  • Hoopili
  • RAIL
  • Kalaeloa East Energy Corridor
  • Koolauloa Sustainable Community Plan Bill 47
  • Additional Taxation for RAIL
  • Kualakai Extension (supporting Hawaii Railway Society)

Anyone wishing to formally participate or present information should call the Neighborhood Commission Office at (808) 768-3710 between 8:00 A.M. and 4 P.M.  Questions and opinions will also be allowed at the meeting.  Please inform the Chairperson before the meeting starts if testimony or lengthy discussion will be presented.
