Getting to Know Waianae’s Dolphins and Whales:Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 6:30 pm
Dr. Robin W. Baird, a research biologist with Cascadia Research, will share his current research and explain the tools used to study some of the resident dolphins and whales on the Waianae coast, including individual photo-identifications, genetic analyses, and satellite tracking of different species. This presentation is 45 minutes.
Honolulu Theater for Youth (HTY) presents “The Tiny Tree”:Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 10:30 am
“The Tiny Tree” was created to engage young audiences by one of our most daring and innovative theatre artists, Annie Cusick Wood. This short interactive show explores what tiny trees and tiny children have in common. How can we create the right environment for a tiny tree to flourish? This 30 minute program is suitable for ages 3 and older.
