At Waianae Public Library Theresa Boro, the children’s librarian, conducts an all-year program called “Story Time” for pre-schoolers, children who are three years old and younger. Story Time is held every Thursday at 10 A.M. for an hour. On December 12 these pre-schoolers enjoyed a Christmas party with entertainment by the Christy Lipps & Puppets Company. Christy and husband Glenn Ah Sing performed the Hawaiian version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” with children and parents participating. Because of the holiday season, the next Story Time is scheduled for January 10, 2013, at which time Boro plans to use crafts with stories. From December 17 to January 3 Boro will hold an essay contest for students in grades K-6.
Nice story about the good old days. Good to reminisce about the hard times back then but we survived and turned out okay.
