Nanakuli High School Performing Arts Center Provides Holiday Entertainment

Beginning the new year 2015, Nanakuli High School has early news for Spring student activities.

January 26 – February 13 – Penny Wars to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Hawaii.

February 2015

4 – Deadline to order 2014-2015 Yearbook.

16 – Great Aloha Run.

21 – Fundraiser concert “A Musical Journey” – Featuring Diva Rose Kingsly, music from Broadway, opera, jazz, and blues at Mckinley High School, 7:00 P.M., free admission but donations accepted ($15), request reservations at www.nhispac.com.

21 – Freshman and Sophomore Classes car wash at Waianae Store.

22 – National Honor Society car wash at Waianae Store.

March 2015

5 – 25th Annual Songfest, 7:00-9:00 P.M., NHIS gym.

6, 7, 13, 14 –  “Nunsense” – Musical comedy about 19 French Sisters, performed by NHISPAC , Multi-Purpose Cafe, 7:00 P.M.; admission: $10 pre-sale, $13 at the door, students and children $5.

8, 15 – “Nunsense” – Musical comedy, Multi-Purpose Cafe, 5 P.M.

14 – Band car wash at Waianae Store.

16-20 – Spring break.

26 – Kuhio Day holiday.

28 – Band car wash at Waianae Store.

Pat Pang (Nozaki) is a retired DOE secondary school teacher who taught school in Waianae for almost 40 years. She has served the community as a member of the Waianae Neighborhood Board and as a delegate to the 1978 Hawaii State Constitutional Convention. She was raised on the Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead and resided in Waianae during her years as a teacher.
