Nanakuli-Maili Neighborhood Board No. 36 Meeting Discusses Homelessness

Those  who commute from Waianae to Honolulu or Kapolei will be interested in the upcoming meeting of the Nanakuli-Maile Neighborhood Board’s Transportation Committee. The committee will meet on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Maili Community Park, 87-360  Kulaaupuni Street, Maile, at 6:00-7:00 P.M. There will be reports about the Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization (OMPO), the Waianae Coast secondary access road, the traffic flow control program, and about transportation safety and beautification .

For unfinished business they will discuss issues regarding the Bus and left turn lanes at Haleakala Avenue and at Nanakuli Avenue. In addition, traffic congestion on the Waianae Coast and any possible rail issues will be studied.

New business concerns Bus stop removals at Ko’Olina Resort east and west bound, the Bus route in and out of Princess Kahanu Estates, and a Bus route going in and out of Kaukama Road and Sea Country.

Community members are invited to attend and participate in the discussion and voice any concerns to the committee.
