Waianae High School 2015 Year-End Events

Waianae High School will coming to a close in a few months.  Here are some of its activities for the rest of the 2014-2015 school year:

March 31 – Chaminade College presentation, 11:45 A.M., sign up in CCC.

April

1 – Hawaii Medical College presentation, 10:30 AM., sign up in CCC.

1-6 – Register for SAT test set for May 2, 2015; fee waivers available, register online at www.sat.org/register; CCC will help.

2 – Lifeguard training sign-up, see Miss Matsuda in  Rm. A103, $60 fee, to be held three weekends in April.

3 – Freshman/Sophomore Banquet, 5:30 P.M.- 9:30 P.M.

3 – Good Friday, holiday.

8 – ASVAB testing.

8 – Academy/Scholarship Night.

11 – ACT testing.

17-19 – JROTC Waianae Adventure Challenge.

22 – JROTC Governor’s Review rehearsal.

23 – JROTC Governor’s Review.

25 – Junior/Senior Prom.

May

2 – SAT testing.

15 – JROTC Awards Night.

22 – Waianae Senior Walk.

25 – Memorial Day, holiday.

29 – Waianae Graduation.

June

3 – 4th QTR ends.

4 – Teacher work day.

6 – SAT testing.

11 – Kamehameha Day, holiday.

15-19 – JROTC ALC.

Pat Pang (Nozaki) is a retired DOE secondary school teacher who taught school in Waianae for almost 40 years. She has served the community as a member of the Waianae Neighborhood Board and as a delegate to the 1978 Hawaii State Constitutional Convention. She was raised on the Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead and resided in Waianae during her years as a teacher.
