Author of `Ewa Which Way will speak at Kapolei Public Library

Tyler Miranda, author of `EWA WHICH WAY, grew up on the West Side of Oahu. He has written a novel which is steeped in the customs of a rural Hawaiian town and set in the early  1980s when Hurricane `Iwa struck. His book weaves the experiences of two brothers who confront conflicts at home and at school after moving from the city to Ewa Beach. Miranda uses his personal background for central themes in his story – Portuguese ethnicity, Catholic religion, and domestic violence. This coming-of-age novel will be presented by Miranda at the Kapolei Public Library on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 10:30 A.M. Bamboo Ridge Press will release this book on April 19, 2013. The library is located near the Kapolei Seagull School at 1020 Manawai Street, Kapolei, HI 96707.
