Waianae High School Student Spring Activities for 2015

Waianae High School has several activities and events planned for January and February, 2015.

January 2015

23 – Boys volleyball  – Informational meeting, gym, 2:30 P.M.

24 – SAT Test – FS Building, 7:45 A.M.

26 – SAT Prep Class deadline – Applications due free of charge, submit to CCC or go online to www.whsccc.weebly.com.

27- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) workshop – School library, 6:00 P.M.

February 2015

4 – SAT Prep class – start of a 16-week session every Wednesday, free of charge, Waianae High School, 2:30-4:30 P.M.

6 – Searider Grub (WHS Project Grad) – Great food & good times, WHS front parking lot, 5:00-9:00 P.M.

8 – Nike Football Combine – Aloha Stadium, 12-5 P.M., register at www.studentsports.com/football/nikecombines/.

8 – Nike SPARQ Football Combine – Aloha Stadium, 12-5 P.M., register at www.studentsports.com, free of cost, open to all underclassmen.

13 – 2015 Aha Opio Kane – Space is limited, see counselor for permit forms.

13 – Scholarship deadline – NFF Scholarship, seek help in CCC.

18 – Junior-Senior Prom Court Petitions deadline and meeting – Petitions available in Shop 2.

27 – Hula Festival – No cost, 8:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M,  sign up in Shop 2.

28 – Canoe Festival – No cost, 9:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M., sign up in Shop 2.

28 – Kevin Wanzer Assembly.

March 2015

3 – ACT Test.

Pat Pang (Nozaki) is a retired DOE secondary school teacher who taught school in Waianae for almost 40 years. She has served the community as a member of the Waianae Neighborhood Board and as a delegate to the 1978 Hawaii State Constitutional Convention. She was raised on the Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead and resided in Waianae during her years as a teacher.
