Bernard Halama Jr. Currently a truck driver, working along side with Raymond Westbrook as we two have started this together. I've been taught at my young age how to fish. Always been fishing rather laying net, diving or trolling. It's been passed down to us younger kids from our father and tutus. It's always been told to us that this is our heritage and for many generations how they lived.
Till this day I seen big changes in our heritage and see our children not involved as much. New laws and regulations makes things much more difficult for the people of Hawaii, this makes our elders look the other way.
After last year's turn out and continues calls asking for a second year for the tournament, we have carried it on and also have more support with sponsors. For this reason and others, we are holding this event. It's like it says, Family "N" Friends is what it's all about. Getting our children involved with this event, giving back to those less fortunate family's who may have children who can't fish.
