Kapolei Public Library will feature Queen Liliuokalani in October 2013

Celebrate the legacies of Queen Liliuokalani—music, love of homeland, and dedication to her people—in the 45-minute program He Lei, He Aloha at Kapolei Public Library, 1020 Manawai Street, Kapolei, on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m.  This program will be narrated by Meleanna Aluli Meyer and includes participation from audience members  in selected readings from Hawaii’s Story as well as some of Liliuokalani’s songs.

Pat

Pat Pang (Nozaki) is a retired DOE secondary school teacher who taught school in Waianae for almost 40 years. She has served the community as a member of the Waianae Neighborhood Board and as a delegate to the 1978 Hawaii State Constitutional Convention. She was raised on the Nanakuli Hawaiian Homestead and resided in Waianae during her years as a teacher.
